We presented Watkin Jones with a concept that was inspired by the area's artful influence. The ‘Art House’ concept was inspired by Sutton’s impressive public art displays in the town including famous sculptures and mural paintings.
Well connected to London’s city centre, the developments target audience would set out to attract young professionals working in the city, that would be looking for a quick commute. Paired with the ‘Art House’ theme our team felt confident in being bold with elements of the design.
We carefully selected paint colours, sourced furniture, and curated a selection of accessories. Incorporating organic shapes through the furniture specifications and using natural materials such as ceruse oak and rattan. We kept the colour palette warm, choosing freehand painted artwork, with rich shades of pink and orange dominating the main areas. Choosing bursts of orange paired with the black grain woods we wanted to show how an interior could be bold but refined. The warmth made the show home welcoming and homely for prospective buyers, whilst the pops of colours added depth.
