How we designed two show apartments for an exciting new residential development, drawing on inspiration from the Maritime Industry and biophilic elements.
The Boathouse approached us to help with their exciting scheme, a stunning waterside location on the vibrant Salford Quays, aimed at the young, working professional. They needed show apartments that would represent the properties, inspire and excite potential renters.
Show home styling is one of our core design services, and where we see tangible ROI through faster rental periods and increased yields.
The first show apartment was a three-bedroom. Our design was inspired by the grandeur of maritime shipping and waterside living. We used nautical colours, rich velvet fabrics and brass finishes to create a colourful and lively feel.
Our two-bedroom show apartment was distinctively different. Here, we went for a rustic and paired down look, drawing upon influencers from the industrial side of maritime. Introducing warmer elements and colours with softer materials in the furniture allowed the two rooms to stand out in design.
The overall aesthetic combined the development’s sailing themes and the client’s branding. We took full advantage of the open skies surrounding the boathouse, choosing colours that would compliment the full height windows and the generous amount of natural light that flows through each room.
The final design was contemporary and neutral, playing with biophilic elements, making it easy for residents to apply their own style upon settling in.
