LOFT X Embassy Charity

Watch how LOFT has supported Embassy Village

Embassy is a Greater Manchester-based charity that helps people break the cycle of homelessness by providing homes, skills training and wraparound support.

Embassy Village is a community of 40 high quality homes in Manchester with a village hall and green space for sports, socialising and growing plants.

This is a different type of shelter to the traditional model. As well as a home, the village provides personalised support, community living and peer support.

LOFT has supported Embassy in a number of creative ways over the years. From giving money, staff fundraisers, LOFT staff volunteering and even employing some Embassy residents.

For Embassy village, we have provided over 300 units of furniture for the village, as well as helping with women’s accommodation and kitting out the office.

"Embassy exists to help alleviate homelessness within Manchester by providing safe and secure supported accommodation, the Embassy support team then work closely with each resident to help rebuild their confidence and skillsets to live independently.  Working with strategic partners like LOFT, together we can provide top quality furnishings for our accommodation as well as residents move on accommodation. We thank LOFT for their continued support."

More often, it comes down to how the property looks on the day a buyer first encounters it, usually as a thumbnail on Rightmove, usually within a few seconds of deciding whether to click.
What Tenants Are Actually Telling the Rental Sector
Goodlord's 2026 report surveyed 2,650 letting agents, landlords, and tenants. The conclusions make uncomfortable reading across the board. But buried within the findings is a signal that cuts through the noise about regulation, technology, and fee structures. When tenants are asked what would most transform their experience of renting, the answer isn't an app or a piece of legislation. It's the state of their home.
Why Furniture Packages Are the Smarter Way to Furnish a Rental Property
Furnishing a rental property has always involved a balancing act - quality versus cost, speed versus choice, consistency versus convenience. For landlords managing one or two buy-to-lets, piecemeal sourcing from multiple retailers might just about work. But as the rental market shifts, that approach is becoming increasingly hard to justify.
