How we gave residents their own personal slice of luxurious heaven while keeping it affordable for the client.
Empyrean: “The Place in Highest Heaven”
Introducing Empyrean. The name draws inspiration from the renowned astronomer, William Crabtree, who made this area of Salford his home in the 1600’s. Our ambition was to offer residents their own slice of highest heaven - and we delivered.
We worked closely with the developer, Sigma Capital Group plc, a leading provider in Build to Rent properties, to create 298 luxurious feeling properties, using design-led furniture to fulfil the creative vision while keeping it at an affordable price point.
As the area is perfect commuting distance to the city centre, the apartments were focused on drawing in professionals and young families and couples as the area affords convenience of travel, minus the city centre price tag.
The design focused on luxury and delivering a feeling of opulence across the one, two and three bedroom properties, classic dark woods were paired with marble and velvet to create a timeless impression, which was lifted with shades of green and teal to keep it fresh and contemporary.
As the site offers a view into the local park, we wanted to take advantage of the natural greenery on the doorstep and marry the biophilia with contemporary splendour within the design.
Artificial greenery was introduced into the scheme as a way to link the outside within the properties; showcasing grasses, succulents and flowers which added colour, life and a unique touch. It also kept the price point modest whilst simultaneously adding another rich layer to the scheme.
As well as designing and furnishing 298 properties across the six blocks included in Empyrean, we created an idyllic show home to showcase the potential of the properties and entice potential residents.
The developer wanted to move residents in quickly after the finished build, we worked on a tight schedule to quickly and efficiently fit 51 apartments in just 5 days. We’re eternally conscious of never losing quality in our work, no matter how tight the timeframe and Empyrean was no different.
