LOFT furnished 472 of the one, two and three bed apartments and townhouses at this landmark BTR development.

At 500ft tall, Cortland at Colliers Yard is the seventh tallest building in Greater Manchester. It’s a modern vision which adds to the sophistication of the city centre skyline.

Upon entering, the grand foyer and staircase give a taste of the opulence to be found throughout the building.

This elegance is present in every single one of the multiple amenities. Not a single detail has been overlooked and every room feels bespoke and on brand. This development is reminiscent of a luxury hotel with amenities including:

Cortland at Colliers Yard wanted the very best for their development and so for the apartment and property interior design they chose LOFT. As well as sharing Cortland’s values of providing exemplary experiences for the residents, LOFT are the market leader in the Build to Rent industry.

The apartments and townhouses were an incredibly high-spec foundation to work from. They are light and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows, high quality kitchens with integrated appliances and kitchen islands, as well as elegant herringbone wooden flooring. Therefore, we wanted to celebrate these features and the innate style of the properties and development.

Stylish, modern, dynamic and elegant.

These were the words LOFT chose as the inspiration for the 472 properties we were furnishing.

The apartments were to become the ultimate city retreat. With the excitement of the development and Manchester on the doorstep, we aspired to create sanctuaries where residents could truly relax, so we included with touches like a large, comfortable sofa and a 5ft bed with a upholstered headboard to retreat after a long day.

Installing the apartments

One of the first priorities was to furnish two show apartments – the 1 and 2 bed apartments – for potential residents to envision what their lives could be like living in this skyline development.  

Then, LOFT started to furnish the other 472 properties. In total, it took only 52 working days to install the entire development.  

During peak season, we increased this frequency, so we were installing 60 apartments a week, with installation operatives on site and multiple deliveries every day.  

This incredibly fast delivery was possible thanks to the fact that LOFT has in-house delivery, installation and project management teams – enabling us to work seamlessly together.
