Aston Place is a celebration of how great the Build to Rent sector can and should be. Together, Dandara and LOFT have put the resident lifestyle at the heart of the development, and the development at the heart of the community.
Aston Place has an enviable location in the heart of Birmingham. It’s next door to the Mailbox shopping centre and only a short walk New Street Station, for great transport links to the rest of the UK.
This BTR development is designed to appeal to every aspect of a modern tenant’s life. It answers many of the questions people may have about living in a modern development with lots of spaces outside of the individual apartments for residents to enjoy, including:

- Bookable rooms
- Gym and studio
As well as the first-class facilities, they’ve truly put the resident at the heart of the development by making the place pet friendly, organising social events and gym classes and giving residents the options to decorate their own apartments. Basically – elevating the BTR experience for residents.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that the development has received several awards, including placing in the Top 10 of all developments over 300 homes in the UK and Best Development in the Midlands in 2022.

Dandara has worked closely with LOFT on a number of developments, in a large part due to our shared values of putting the residents first. For LOFT, this is rooted in our People-First design ethos. This process sees LOFT considering the potential residents, their requirements and aspirations, and creating interiors to meet these.
The interiors for Aston Place wanted to look modern, inviting and be neutral enough that should the residents want to redecorate their properties, the furniture would match the surroundings.
Furnishing the properties
Of the 276 apartments, we agreed on a schedule of delivering and installing 23 apartments per week. Thanks to the LOFT team of experienced installers, Aston Place was completed successfully on time and to budget.
